I'll kill a few with the shotgun and will take the bow as well. Inevitably the days I pack the Benelli I will have the dumbest 2 yo ever strutting at 10 yards and the days I pack the Mathews they will hang up at 40 yards. Never fails. If I didn't enjoy shooting them with the shotgun so much I'd get more serious about bowhunting them.

I'll be using Bullheads when I go.

I will be using Muzzy 100 gr 3 blade. I got out today and mowed a few strut zones and approach trails in the timber. I also mowed and seeded a clover plot on the edge of the woods. Saw a couple of gobblers.

Take some shooting lessons from Dusto and 40 yards won't be a problem. :) I filmed him smoke a tom at 52 yards in WY last spring and also filmed him smoke an antelope at 62 in August.

Disclaimer: Only shoot those distances if you have practiced and feel comfortable.......or are a natural born stone cold killer like Sir Dusto.

Think I'll be using the shotgun, I'll probably use the bow once or twice but I'm not confident in the area I'm hunting nd want to put one down if the opportunity presents itself. I'm also a bit of a novice when it comes to calling and turkey hunting in general.

I was thinking of trying the bloodrunner 2 blades so i could carry them over to deer season. Is there any big advantage to the gobbler getters?

I would like some shooting lessons from this mysterious character known as Dusto. Is he willing to spend some time on a couch in kansas? My wife is a good cook.
