Congrats to everyone finding sheds. I havent found any more and have walked quite a few miles. Will be walking some other properties very soon and should find some. Also who is going to be the captain? We should probably decide soon. Good luck to everyone going out soon.
Hey guys, can you post how many sheds you have found so far? I need to update the scorecard, and I'm in class right now
Theres plenty of time yet I'm counting 30 sheds now, but I'm just scanning quick while slacking during my class. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I found two more sheds yesterday. A pretty decent 4 point side, and a tiny little spike antler that shed last year. I will get pics up later today hopefully. So 32 now?
Cole, you've got my vote as captain. Now, we've just got to come up with an awful team name and start talking filthy smack on everybody else. Especially Danno. 5 sheds for me. I'll be out again this weekend (probably just 1x), but hopefully I can add some weight to the pile. This has been my worst shed season in quite some time. Usually I'm in double-digits by now, but temper that with the fact that I probably haven't walked 30 miles yet. Once upon a time, there was enough time.
It looks like were pretty much dominating right now. If we can all just find a couple more, we should be in real good shape. Looks like we've got a 9 point lead heading into this last month.
iHunt, thanks for taking over the captain position. quiksilver, as for the 10 pt. set I found, I never saw him before. I found those on public land, so I think I know where I will be hunting this year. I will be stuck at 6 for awhile, I was going to go to Iowa this weekend, but weather has other plans for me. We really got hit with some sloppy stuff. Good luck to all.
Ya. I found it about 60 yards away from the set I found a couple weeks ago. Its a nice pine thicket where they bed down. I just happened to look to my right and saw it about 40 yards away laying in the short grass on a cow trail! lol. Going out again tomorrow so hopefully I can find a couple more. Oh and I also found a dead head that looked like it had gotten run over by a lawn mower. I found several 2-3 inch splinters. It looked to be an 8 pointer but thats just a guess. lol. The part that was still intact had 3 points on it but was broken right after that so who knows.
4 more for the team today, bringing my annual total to 10. Not a bad pace, but my time is going to be REALLY limited from here on out. I put on 12 miles and found my best shed of 2012 - a nice 63 inch 5x. Based on my projections, he'll score out a solid 10" higher than I'd have originally thought. Do we need to pick a team name? I was thinking about it today, how about "The Lollipop Guild?" I think that would be nice. We could post this video in everyone's team threads, where they wouldn't be able to resist pressing play and becoming mentally scarred.
