I'm usually right in the 385-400 grain range with my hunting setup. Ran the Heli-m through the chrono last night - 277 fps at 28/70, which should be generating just under 66 ft/lbs of kinetic energy. Plenty enough to get the job done on just about anything I want to chase around.

The arrow set up I use with my compound runs about 430 grains. The one with my recurve is about 550 grains or so.

Switched things up a little bit since last season. I have been wanting to do it for awhile, but I figured I'd wait until after the season was over. My new set-up is...

Carbon Express 350's, 8.9 gpi, cut at 27.5 inches, 125 grain Spitfires, NAP quickfletches 30 grains, and nocturnals lighted nocks 20 grains.

Total arrow weight of just under 431 grains. Haven't put it through the chrono yet, but with my Z7 at 70lbs I'm expecting right around 76 ft pounds of kinetic energy and speeds of 283 fps.

I'm excited to try this out on some critters!!!

I try to get my arrows to come in right around 500 grains usually slightly over. They are still going around 270 fps out of the Invasion CPX...

Will be testing my hunting arrow setup today with victory VAPs SS insert (93? Grains) arrow with 100 grain tip should weigh in at 415 to 418 grains. I will weigh setup and chronograph.
    Oops
3/1 The wrong inserts were ordered. Looks like I will also have to go with a heavier spine too. I believe that my arrow will be about 467 grains when it's all done. I hope to hit at least 225 fps at that weight.

Im shooting easton FMJ 300 spines (12.0 gpi) and theyre cut at 31.5". I installed nocturnal lighted nocks and had brad at pass thru custom arrows do a custom painted 7" wrap, and he fletched these bad charlies with 2" tiger blazers. These FMJ's have the new Deep six insert system so I am shooting the 100 gr. D6 spitfire maxx. I had my arrow setup weighed at diamond archery proshop in Wichita, KS and I'm right at 532 gr. My Z7X set at 30" and 70 lbs is throwing these 262 fps. I love how quiet this shaft is outta the bow and how hard they hit! I cant wait to get that pretty arrow wrap covered in blood this fall.

My arrows are right at 417 Gr. Shooting a Helim at 28/65. No idea what the arrow speed is becuase it I don't care. It's plenty fast. :) The only thing I do care about is the FOC. I may move to a 125 tip to move it a bit more forward.

492 total grain arrow. CX PileDriver Hunter 350 tipped with 125 grain Slick Trick Magnums.

I was shooting a PSE Bow Madness 28/70 getting a little 260 fps with that arrow. Just got the Bow Madness 3G so we'll see where the speed comes in at. Should be close to the same.

I dont remember my exact weight, but I believe it's something like 465 total, possibly more. Shooting gold tip pro hunters & weighted either with brass weights or a 220 gr head to get my overall weight up.
I have also shot camo XT hunter shafts with no extra weight, that might be the 465 number. With my other setup being 500+

My arrows weigh in at 418 Grains.
Shooting a Bowtech Destroyer 350 at 25.5 inch draw 60 lbs.
    I use a Muzzy 130 grain 4 Blade Broadhead.
I am extremely pleased with the performance of the heavier arrow setup.

I was shooting around 430 gr last year. I changed arrows this year and now I'm at 420. These arrows seem to shoot better and I'm way more accurate. I don't think the 10 gr difference will effect punch that much. I got great passthroughs with old arrows weight, so I should be still be good
