That's a bummer for me I get all my deals there. Now I am not sure where I will go. There is always Archery Country in St. Cloud but I am not a fan and they all push the Mathews bows.

29 are closing, 23 are remaining open, 15 were sold to a Canadian corporation called UFA.

The 23 remaining open will continue to operate under the Sportsman's Warehouse name. The 15 purchased by UFA have the name Sportsman's Warehouse licensed for two additional years, but whether they will continue to operate under that name is still up in the air.

The majority of the mid-west/east coast stores were closed. The 15 closest to Canada, save a few in Montana, Idaho, and Oregon, were sold to UFA.

Like my Woodbury one. It kept me in trouble. I sit at home all day now. I could go to GMountain, but those guys suck. They are probably the most worthless dbags around.

Yep, they're closing the one down here in Roanoke, Va as well. We just got that damn store last year or so. Only thing I have now is Gander. Better than nothing I suppose.

Gander has such limited archery supplies. And the "pro-staffers" are anything but that. I can find good deals there but Sportsmans treated me well and they had a few guys that knew their stuff so I liked it.

I don't have the list with me at home, but I know all of the Washington locations went to UFA.

CDA will remain open under UFA, Troy.

All employees at store level will remain the same, obviously the corporate level is being built from the ground up.

Its unfortunate that so many stores were closed and so many folks were told they no longer had a place to work. Goes to show what happens when a CEO opens too many stores too quickly, doesn't pay his bills, and neglects his vendors. I'm anxious to see what is going to happen with the UFA stores and wish everyone still working for Sportsman's Warehouse (The original/current) the best.

I think I have said what I think of GM. But the guy at S.Whse was very knowledgable, and courteous. He was the guy that helped me out with the cameras when the first two didn't work, he sat there, and tried them out before he let me take the third one home. Then he knocked a good chunk off the price.
He is not afraid to tell you what he thinks of anything, and he is a very down to earth guy. I sure hope the very best to him.

Side note.. LOL, it says Richard's when I say Richard's. I actually typed Richard's. I like that.

PS: Thanks for my sticker Justin! It will go great on the KK.

They're closing one by me here in Wi. I went there last night, and according to one of the employees, she said they basically are closing everything east of the Missippi river. There are some deals, but alot of stuff was already gone. I talked to another employee in the archery dept and he said that there biggest problem was bringing in stock. They did blanket orders and if a store sold out, it would be months before they'd get more in. He was bumming, he did part time for the employee discount. They closed a store in northern wi. and supposedly the last couple of days they had 60% off & lines of 2hr outside.
