I have a Whisker biscuit I never bow hunted before this year and I killed two deer this year. (both at like 10 yards LOL). I not hearing good things about the whisker biscuit should I upgrade my, I have the money for it is it worth it or not. Like a drop down or something I dont know.
If you like the WB stick with it. From what I've seen you either love or hate the WB, I personally hate it lol, and went with a drop-away. It's all preference though.
I have shot both and so has my brother. Neither of us do any more and we will not go back to one. Here are the main reasons: 1.) speed. You can lose as much as 8fps with a WB. 2.) Sound. They are really noisy. We didn't notice the difference until I bought a drop away and we were shooting side by side. Big difference. 3.) Fletchings. I can't tell you how many fletchings we ripped off because those things. I bought the New Archery Products Apache. IMO it is the best rest ever. Simple in design, silent onb the shot and super reliable. I bought a new bow and the original version wouldn't fit. I was not happy about having to give up the Apache. My wife was happy about getting it. lol Then they revealed the NAP Apache CARBON and I get to use an Apache again. It is a great rest and not bad priced. i swiched form a WB to a Trophy Taker Drop Zone, and the only thing i miss with the WB is the capture features. other that that the pros of the drop away out way the convinence of the WB. i will have to say that i did like the WB, but i was also shooting 4in vanes. dont know if it would make a difference on a 2 inch vane or not. i will have to say if i was going out west on a spot and stalk hunt i would proly use a biscut for that.
Love the WB. To me the drop aways are just one more thing to tune and have go wrong. Had a lot of issues with a trophy taker and gave it away for the WB.
Had similar issues with the WB as Sticks did and decided to go to a Ripcord Code Red. I liked the Apache too, but the Ripcord was much lighter at the time. The new Apache micros/carbons might be lighter, haven't looked.
I have and shoot a whisker biscuit and a rip cord code red. I like both. My biscuit does not make any noise, rip fletching, or slow my arrow more than 2fps. The big benefit I have found on the fall away over the biscuit is accuracy when shooting past 40 yards and it isn't much.

I shoot the WB and will never shoot anything else. I like the simplicity, and the arrow will never slide off the rest. Like what was said before a drop away is just another thing to fail at crunch time. My bow was originally set up with a drop away and when I put the WB on I only lost 3fps, so not enought to make a difference. IMO you can't go wrong with the WB.

If it works for you, don't fix something that isn't broken. I used to change things up all the time, trying to find something better, etc. I started using a Limbdriver rest two years ago, for example, and can't see any reason to try something else other than maybe the new full containment Limbdriver. It just works, does what I need it to and have been dependable.
i used to use a WB and have never had one rip off any vanes or feathers and i've shot 4in vanes, blazers and feathers. Good rest but i want to try a drop away, i like the idea of less arrow to anything contact. my .02 -Alex
