Going on a few trips this year with the bow and was wondering if any of you can recommend and good case the airlines can't destroy?

    Thanks

Save the baggage and targeting from the airline workers for what appears as a redneck weapons case (Slightly certain they practice dropping them from the roof of the terminals).... Get a huge drop bottom rolling duffel. Bought one off Cabelas a few years back for like $60. Its a hard pan that fully unzips on the bottom, pack your bow in there wrapped in clothing and stuff clothing in all empty spaces. Zip it up and pack your gear in the attached duffel on top. Skip the camo so it doesn't stick out. No one asks questions, no one knows better, you don't have two checked luggage fees, and your bow is just as safe as in an SKB.

I do have the military grade double bow case from SKB for trips where I travel with a friend, but I haven't used it since August 2009 in favor of the rolling duffel instead.

I have the SKB rectangle bow case. They are pricey, but they're the best. They guarantee your bow from breakage.

SKB. Had a Plano and when we packed around it, the sides collapsed enough to mess up a cable. Luckily had a spare bow, but still. No issues with the SKB.

Vanguard makes some really great hard cases, and they're not quite as pricey as SKB. I have a Saberlock 83c and love it.

I am a big fan of the Lakewood Products cases. Little bit heavy but with the extra accessory and arrow box it has plenty of room for everything and keeps everything safe!

I would recommend an SKB case. If you get one of the larger rectangular cases it will double as your suit case because there will be plenty of extra room on one end. That is how I have traveled for the last few years. Works great IMO!

Thanks for all the advise guys. I've been looking at the SKB's and figuring on bringing extra cables and strings with me just in case:-/ Also heard about taking some of the padding out and wrapping your bow with your hunting cloths to save the space in your other luggage.

I may also look into the drop bottom duffel that TEmbry mentioned.

Been using a SKB 4114A for awhile now best case I've used. They also have some newer ones that I'd like to check out made like Pelican and Storm military cases.

Pole mountian. A buddy and I flew to a hunt last year, he used a SKB and got a lot of flack about his. They never knew what was in the pole mountian. Tough as nails, worth the price
