    Congrats again! what a beast!!!

I got some great news that I kind of already knew for years, but never pushed the issue, but my ex-highschool sweetheart's dad and I have remained good friends (along with the rest of the family) and he finally came right out and told me I can hunt his land, which is PRIME. So late season I'll see what I can do there and hopefully get us a dandy.

Back to bowhunting tomorrow, have the whole week off, going to work on the man cave and hunt in the evenings and set and run traps in the mornings!! Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well rifle season and shotgun season is over for me! I got a decent buck with shotgun. And missed a possible 180 in buck with my rifle. It's back to archery for this kid.

In related news I just bought a new Mathews hyperlight.

Well, the boat has a new piston and rack and is ready and clear to go. Looks like we're going to be shipping out on our annual deer hunt sometime after Thanksgiving, likely the first week of December. If this snow lasts until then and we possibly get more, it's going to be a floating slaughterhouse. The deer get pushed down out of the mountains and yard up on the beaches in this kind of winter. 50 - 100 would be typical but I wouldn't be surprised to see 500+ deer a day in this weather. We've got goat tags for down there too. Should make for another fine adventure!

I finally scored. Took a 6 point this afternoon. Man I shore could have used an ark or something to get him out. The property is flooded big time and I was by myself. Will get a pic up soon. I'm exhausted.[IMG]

Double lung at 35 yrds. He stood there for a minute makeing me thing I missed him. When he releized he was hurting he could only go about 40 yrds before pileing up. The place is flooded and I made all kinds of noise walking thru water up to 18 inch's deep. Got uo in the ladder stand and was arrangeing things and just looked up and saw him at 40 yrds. Youngster never knew I was there. Never got everything arranged. It was over in 3-4 minutes upon getting in the stand. It was a hell of an ordeal getting him out by myself (137 lbs) in all that water and then loading him in the truck. He was waterlogged. LOL. Anyway if gun season wasn't starting in 5 days and if I had some meat to call upon I wouldn't had taken him. Just wasn't his day.
