I should be done hunting for this year and next. I just wanted to let everyone on here know that I will be going to boot camp sometime in july or august next year for the marines. I passed all my test I had to go through. I will be swearing in next week. I won't be geting on much anymore. Thanks for the good times I have had and all the knowledge you all have gave me. Good luck with the rest of the season

No! Thank you for life you’re about to embark. The only advice I can give you is to make the best of your boot camp experience. It will be a memory that you’ll hold in the highest regard the rest of your life. These memories are the ones that you’ll most like share with your kids and grandkids. They are both funny and educational. When it’s all over, there are no do over’s. You’ll be glad it over when it is over, but you’ll always wish you could go back. Other than that I can’t give you too much useful information because I went through in the 90’s and so much has changed since then.

Oh Yeah one more thing; run track this spring. I did and PT was a breeze, sort of.

Best of luck to you brother of the armed forces.

Active duty Navy here! Congrats on your awesome decision man! You wont regret it! Dont just quit doing the things you love though. Youll have a hard time doing things like hunting for the first few years youre in, but you will find the time again, even while youre in. Trust me, when you completely remove yourself from bowhunting, its more difficult to get started in it again. Stay involved in the sport as best you can (keep your bow and your gear in a storage unit near base, and hunt as much as you can!).

Also, check out the link in my signature. Right up your alley! And enjoy your 1st Veteran's Day!

one of the best things I have figured out since joining the Army is that everywhere you get stationed you are considered a resident and you get to hunt in that state as a resident....Another bonus is that if you go to a new place for training you can also get a license to hunt on that base as a resident....I have hunted in every state that I have been stationed at....It is awesome....Good Luck.....

Good choice and good luck, but you wont be a us marine til you finish boot camp, and your drill instructor will remind you everyday of that.
