shot a buck need help

    i shot a buck at 11 this morning was 15 yards broadside i hit him a little high and back not back enough for guts....i got down and looked at the arrow and it looked really good went home and an hour later came back and started trailing but we jumped him up and went to where he was bedded and there was not that much blood and went back home....im having a friend come up with their blood hounds to help me search what do you guys think bad hit? one long maybe

    You could check the other 5925923942592354924 threads on here about deer-hit-but-can't-find threads. There is some good info in those.

    Questionable hit, like you described = wait minimum of 4 hours. He likely would have been dead in the first bed.

    Is that a broken record?

    Wait until dark and start a slow track job. You will likely not find much blood. Dog should be a huge help. Good luck.

    thanks guys! im still waiting it out a bit longer before i start it back up i really dont wana have to wait till dark tho gets much harder for me in the dark im color blind as it is haha

    Hind sight is 20/20 questionable hit WAIT do not track and jump deer and you WILL find dead deer in bed

    The dog should be a great help. My son is color blind. He is the opposite of you OK at night, really hard for him during the day.
