I stuck a nice 8 point this morning. It was a crazy and amazing morning. I spent almost 30 minutes at the base of my stand with bucks chasing all around me. I had one just on the other side of the hedge row at about 10 yards from me. Once I finally got up in the stand I saw one cruising in my food plot, then one in the field west of me. About 15 minutes later I caught movement of a deer coming my way in the timber, he made his was to the edge of the field that is in front of me, walked the edge and then jumped the fence about 40 yards east of me. He came right into my decoy, infact he didn't follow the script. My decoy was quartering to me, so if a buck approached it, he would be quartering away, well this buck came at a perpendicular angle then swung right behind the decoy, walked right up to it and touched it with his nose. He was either going to mount it or attack it, so I took the shot quarting to. I got about 15-18 inches of penetration, but no exit wound that I'm aware of. Most likely a double lung, but maybe a single. I watched him for about 80 yards, where it looked like he might have bedded down. Not sure about that, but I'm giving him until about noon before we start the recovery. I sure hope I find him piled up where I last saw him.

Yep. I waited until almost noon since I didn't have an exit wound. We got out there, found a couple tufts of hair near where I arrowed him. No Blood, none what so ever. I was a bit concerned that we weren't going to be able to find him. I know it was a fatal shot, and I had about 18" if penetration right in the wheelhouse, but with out blood, I was scared. We walked to where I had last saw him, and just walked in the direction he was going. He didn't make if 75 yards from the point of impact, and was laying up against a fence. After I gutted him, I could see I had blown one lung up, sliced the other, and had gashed his heart. I found my arrow about 10 yards from where he was laying, absolutely caked in blood, but still completely whole including my rage broadhead. I'm very thankful we were able to recover him. He's not the deer I thought he was, he's one of the smaller 8's I have lots of camera pics on. I think he's a 3 year old. I'll post some pics shortly.
