After reading several threads its apparent that we all have the day where we make a shot that results in a miss or empty recovery. Feel free to add more items to the list. But I can assure you I will recite this daily after what happened to me Sunday.

    Bow Hunter Manifesto
    1. I will be patient.

    2. I will be calm.

    3. I will be still.

    4. I will let small bucks walk.

    5. I will wait until I have a good shot.

    6. I will only take quartering shots when there are no other options.

    7. I will not draw to early in the shot cycle.

    8. I will place the proper pin for the proper range.

    9. I will hold my bow arm up 3 seconds after the shot.

    10. I will not look at antlers. My focus will be on the spot my arrow needs to
    go.

    Through!

The arrow does need to pass through the animal otherwise it will run off a sack of Blood and become coyote food!
    $ucks!
And from the amount of coyotes around I think I know why!
    Good post!

    11. I will wait and not pursue the animal too quickly.
