when to us scents?

Hey all, like a lot of posters i'm new to bow hunting. just wondering when I should try using scents like buck bomb? I hunt in southern WI, should i be using scents now or wait til the rut? is it better to use them during a morning hunt or in the afternoon?

any other important information about scents would be greatly appreciated.

the best time i think is now. starting next weekend i will start using drags and hanging other scents. saw small bucks chasing does this weekend so they're getting very close!!

 

cvick is right now its all starting to heat up and I am starting to deploy my scents as well.. use them both afternoon and morning specifically to bring a deer that may not be in range to a closer spot where you can get a crack at him

 

i wish i would have had some scent on Saturday.

 

I'm using them right now the rut is slowly starting to pick up so I've been using buck bomb here and there

 

What kind of scents do you guys use? What about going the other way and using scent killers? Heard those were pretty popular but I don't know if I'm buying it, do they actually work?
