I've been using scent away deodorant sticks for my hunting this year and i've noticed that it doesn't seem to control my body odor as well as other regular deodorants. I seem to be more stinky than if i were to use the regular stuff albeit perfume free. Doesnt that defeat the purpose? Anyone know of a brand that works better?

I'm certainly no expert, but I would say try a couple of different brands until you find one that works best for you. My guess is, and again, I'm not an expert, is that each person's body chemistry is different and what works for some, doesn't work for all.

I've had great luck with the Scent Away products and is all I'll use.

I use a combo of scent free arm and hammer and men's speed stick. Neither one seemed to cut it alone so just tried both one day.

I use all scent away products except for the deodorant. Scent Killer was the only deodorant stick that was ALSO anti-perspirant. I always use deodorant/antiperspirant because what good is the deodorant is your still sweating like an animal through your clothes?? I feel like unless you completely stop the sweat, you cannot control the odor 100%.

I find the scent-a-way deodorant works much better than my old regular brand and has less aluminum in it.
I use it year round now.

    Love the tooth paste also.

Actually that's what I've been using and like. Not scent a way.

Antiperspirant stops sweating....Deodorant covers smell and does nothing but smell nice when u sweat.
baking soda is gritty but works very well.Put baking soda in a old sock and beat yourself senseless before dressing.Pay particular attention to groin and underarms.
I like the K.I.S.S.method....keep it simple stupid!

I absolutely draw the line at beating myself in the groin with a sock full of baking soda. Ain't gonna happen. :D

The best stuff on the market anytime is crystal deodorant stick it is a natural mineral salt that you put on when you are wet right out of the shower. I use it all the time they say you can use all over and it even kills stinky foot odor. Trust me it works. They say it kills the bacteria that causes odor and after using it a couple days you can miss a day or two and it still works and the best part is that it doesn't feel like your using anything.

I’ve just recently read about other methods of controlling sweaty pits. After applying the deodorant, then rub corn starch into your pits. I know weird right? But it does cut down the pit sweat. I hope this little MacGyver moment proves worthy.

The roll-on doesn't have that odor, but the gel does. However, I've killed deer using both, but I prefer the roll-on because it doesn't "cake" the way the gel does.

    Chicken,
Wal-Mart, Kroger, CVS, Rite-Aid, Giant Eagle or whatever is in your area SHOULD have the Mitchum Roll-on Unscented, I've found it in various places pretty easily, and it's very effective. I use it daily, not just during deer season.

This is what you're looking for... See Link--> http://www.drugstore.com/mitchum-ro...and-deodorant-unscented/qxp11798?tab=1&crpg=3

I too use the Arrid XX unscented. Seems to work the best and costs waaaay less than the "scent killer" products on the market! Then again, I'm not worrying about wearing scent blocker clothing either. Have had more encounters this season without them!!
