Am thinking about switching to the BloodRunners or Rage do not know which to choose. I want a strong broad head. First time using Mechanical.

I would go Bloodrunner they were my second choice for a new broadhead this year, but ended up staying with a fixed and chose the NAP Hellrazor

The bloodrunners look as though they are stronger and built better, but i don't know. Also i know how the rages fly compared to field tips but what about the bloodrunners?

With proper education, tuning and practice, both will serve you very well.

I busted through the edge of my deer's shoulder this year and it didn't even dent the blades. Same with my bear, clean pass through and no scratches or dents or breakage. If your bow is tuned properly all broadheads should fly the same as field points.

With a well tuned bow, the broadhead makes little difference.
I will be using the bloodrunners this year, they just did really well in testing over the summer.

Bloodrunners look tempting but ill stick with rage... 100% recovery using them. All within 100yds. Replace the o ring after each deer and ur ready to go.
    I use the 2 blade.

My buddies shoot rage, i shoot bloodrunner. night of opener this season i arrowed a doe, she ran about 40yds and crashed. both are great broadheads IMHO, but the bloodrunners you can shoot out of a blind with the same accuracy. if the heads are not physically in contact with something they remain closed and only open up while passing through material. seems more airtight of a technology.

I'm sure Bloodrunners are good, I just use Rage though. Shot a doe last night at 30 yards, complete pass through, and she died within 30 yards

I'm a pretty big fan of Rage 2-Blades. In my quiver right now is, Grim Reapers; Rage 2/B; Rocky Mountain Warriors (fixed blade). After a bad experience with Grim Reapers, last week, their time in my quiver is likely to be short lived.

A well placed shot is FAR more important than which head you are using. A field point will kill a deer if placed in the correct location.

I've killed deer with both. I've got piles more confidence in the BR. Rage's were just too fragile for me.

My Rage 2 about sliced the neck off a Raccoon I shot the other night in the tree at 12 yards 30 feet up a tree - it was a money shot... I like the Rage 2.
