Hey guys just wondering when to start throwing out that doe n heat, I heard some guys talking at the local shop some are already using it, some wait till first week of november. Also whats the best brand or setup ? Alot of the local guys are using doe pee right now for a masking scent, never used it before, always used dead down wind spray, never been detected( knock on wood)

I think its a bit early to use hot doe urine.I'm sure there are does that go into estrus early, but I wouldn't try it till late in Oct/early Nov.Try a buck type or curiosity scent.

I was just about to ask the same exact thing. I think I'll wait until the last week of October.

this thread reminds me how terrible I was my 1st season. I went out rattling like crazy covered in doe pee and wondered why I didnt see anything. LOL

pre rut cover scents are more like acorns, apples, fox piss and so on. u can use doe pee to make a mock scrape right now..but.no doe is in estrus yet. wait till the last week or so of October. Just watch your local deer when the does start to walk with their tail straight back in line with their back then you know they are ready

I agree. During the peak rut, I use doe in heat from a local deer farmer. It work pretty good.:nana:
