third times the charm lol. I just set all my stands and trail cameras today and i heard some good news talking to the land owner. Hes been seeing a big 10 pointer entering the neighbors field from the same point everyday. Hopefully in 3 weeks ill have a 120+ 10 pointer on the board.
I had no luck going back to the place that was about an hours drive.....but......I got the best news!! I got permission to hunt on a farmers land that right next to where I live!! I was so happy when I got this news, now I can get out and hunt almost every morning and not use a 1/4 tank of gas to get out there. I have seen plenty of does running around on this land as I drive by it everyday plus there are a few bucks that come out every now and again. It is right on corn fields with a creek running right through it and a few areas that look great to set up my blind.
Hey antler addict I just saw your video of your hunt. Great footage. I can't ever remember seeing a deer jump like that a shoot. hope I can add some point here too soon.
Well I'm finally getting the opportunity to get out agian in 85 degree weather. Wish me luck. I fully intend on at least taking a doe if given the opportunity. Good luck all!
Well last night turned out to be uneventful as expected with the high temps. I think I'm going to give it a go again on Sunday providing it isn't raining all day. Sure would like to get some points on the board. That's alright though... plenty of time to make it happen. Definitely looking forward to the drop in temps toward the end of the month. Has anyone seen anything worth talking about yet?
Just checking in, seen several small bucks no shot at a doe yet, 4 days this weekend I will be after them. good luck to all
well fellas I will be out in the a.m. and give it hell im hoping that all of the youth shooters out there will push those deer near me this weekend.
I went out and got in my stand at about 5 a.m. once I was up there for about a 1/2 hr. my trail cam flash started going off. By the time day light broke they were ghosts. talk about frustrating. I was checking my card that I took out while I was waiting for day light and saw a few nice mature does on it yesterday morning at about 6:45 til 8 a.m. I'll get back out inthe morning and try again
With the temps being high I have not seen anything moving over here. I will be getting out later this week with the lows being in the 40's. I have my sights set on anything that moves. I cant wait to get my first bow kill!!! Good luck to all!!

The high temps here in Nebraska are not helping. Anyone out there seeing much? I went out Thursday night and saw nothing. Also took my 11 year old son out Sunday morning and saw 1 doe at about 200 yards away. Not much fun right now. Looking forward to the change in weather. It sounds like we're supposed to drop in temps a bit around the middle of next week. Hopefully things will pick up then?
