So how did opening weekend go for everyone?? Pretty slow here. I filmed Mike on opening morning, and we saw a fork horn and a doe. He filmed me Saturday afternoon and all we saw were a couple turkeys. Sunday morning I didn't hunt - slept in and spent most of the day w/the wife. Last night I went out and didn't see anything, just a few squirrels. Still felt good to be back in a tree!

Went out Saturday morning and afternoon and only saw a few does, a spike, and a turkey. Went out again this morning and saw about 10 does. Gonna move to a new spot tomorrow so hopefully I'll have better luck.
Well have had great success here in Ohio so far. Arrowed 2 doe so far. Saw one shooter on Saturday in the rain. Looking forward to this weekend. Next doe I arrow will make sure I get pics for contest. Just been doing some management and freezer filling first two weeks of season.
It was good to be back out in the tree saturday afternoon. I seen 3 small bucks. I pulled cam cards on another property and have some nice bucks showing their faces, one stud for sure! Great job sub on a very nice buck and CMTRAV on your does.
Now that's what I'm talking about! Nice job man. You truly are on "Buck Patrol". I'll be headed back out this weekend but as usual 1/2 of my time will be behind the camera, and it's supposed to be warm so I'm not expecting much.
Shot this 5pt on Tuesday around 4:30pm at 15 yrds. He's not the biggest buck I've killed but he's the biggest one I've killed with a bow. He scored 48 1/8 so I guess he'll go on the scorecard as 50 pts. Entrance Exit
Kudos to you as well WV!! Looks like we're starting to get on a roll! Bunch of stuff just came up at work first part of Nov - so really bummed about it... Not horrible though - looks like I'll begin my week of bowhunting in southern IA on Nov 10....
I thought the same thing but when i looked at how he scored his and how everyone else scored theirs, he was the only one to include greatest and tip to tip spread along with the inside spread. So I just went with how everyone else scored theirs.
Congrats on the buck! That's two down for the Buck Patrol, and plenty more to come. It was a SLOW weekend here in IL. Only hunted on Saturday and saw one small 8 in the morning and a doe in the evening. Didn't even bother going out yesterday. Went fishing in the AM and then checked trail cameras and watched football the rest of the day. Supposed to cool down for next weekend, so I'm hoping I can at least put a doe down before the end of this month. Then it's time to go full on Buck Patrol.

I had the weirdest day ever on stand monday. 22 Wackos came by on horses with about a doz hounds chasing fox (and deer). They didn't have guns but were dressed up in tweed suits and red polo shirts. Not somethin you see every day but it is public land in the DC burbs. Can't wait for nov to get here so I can head out to KS. Congrats on the buck WV.
