I like my hss, pockets etc......can't say anything about a muddy, never worn one. Pick one and hunt safe, good luck...

Bought a HSS vest last year and loved it. Thought it was a bit big and heavy but didn't thin much of it. This summer I bought the Muddy just to try something different and I am so glad I did. Super light and comfy will wear it everyday in the stand from now on! Go Muddy!

I use the HSS ultra-lite. It's on sale (the black one without bino straps) for $90, at least it was a couple weeks ago. The new one is $30 more for camo and bino straps.

I bought the HSS ultra-lite X-treme earlier this week. I also have a Muddy harness on the way that I ordered from the site. I'm really hoping the muddy harness lives up to it's reputation. The HSS is heavy and the straps aren't the easiest to adjust. I have a feeling the HSS is going back to Gander Mountain.

I have a Muddy. The built-in bino harness is a nice feature. Just wish it would stretch a little more. I find myself repositoning just to get my binos to eye level. Only other comment I had is I ordered the large and feel it runs a bit small. I'm 6'1 and weigh 230 lbs. I am not sure the waist strap is going to fit once I have all my layers on come late season.

I wouldn't spend the extra money on the camo version. There is not enough camo material on it to justify the extra cost.

what i do is i put on my harness, then the outer layers with the tree strap up and out. yeah you lose the bino capability but it works.

The Gorilla was the other one that I was considering when I purchased my Muddy. I like the attachment system on the Gorilla around the legs better then the Muddy but it seemed to be a bit heavier and it was a little more expensive. Either way they both seem like great harnesses.

I actually use both. In the early season, I prefer the Muddy because of the lack of bulk and it is cooler when the temps are up. In the late season I switch to the HSS for the pockets with the bulk being the trade-off

I thought about that. I will have to give it a go. Not sure how that will work out with bibs. May have to go a different route all together. Accessibility to the loops for the linemen’s belt attachment is a must.

you have got to be and idiot to not be able to work this harness. straps are super easy to adjust buckles are the same as spider vest and gorilla vest the weight is only 7oz heavyier than muddy(which is not even noticable). this is a very nice harness second to the spider which IMO is the best vest out there but does not come with ANYTHING!! i dont have a muddy so i cant compare but if you get the camo hss ultra lite x-treme it is a very nice piece.

comes with: bino system, deer drag/suspension system, tree strap, and linesman harness.

as for the spider harness only thing i didnt like was the very short lanyard and the fact it comes with nothing. gorilla had the best lanyard, but was a very heavy harness.
