I have been shooting pretty regularly in my basement and practicing out to 60 yards outside getting ready for the season. My season here in PA doesn't start until October 1st but even then I don't get too serious until the end of October. Then I am Kansas bound for 3 weeks of nonstop bowhunting. Trophy potential is pretty good where I hunt in Kansas so I try and holdout for a 150 or better, so we'll have to see. Good luck to you guys that are hunting....
Sorry guys, I haven't been around much! Kind of crazy around here with two little ones. I have been out the past couple weekends hangin stands. Our season opens here in IL oct. 1. I hunt the west central part of the state and have my eye on a couple good ones. I can't wait to get out! Here's some eye candy! Hope I'm lucky enough to lay my hands on one of these guys this season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just because Chris doesn't post a lot, that doesn't mean that he's not a certified big buck slayer. When he gets time, he hunts his ass off. Y'all can just chalk him up for putting down a big buck this fall. Don't let him sandbag ya by himhawing around and acting like he probably isn't really going to contribute! No pressure, Chris. Good to see you back around, buddy. Keep in touch. Good luck this season! Not being partial to anyone, and putting my bias for my own team aside, I think you guys probably stand the best chance at taking down the title. Lots of certified buckslayers on this team.
LOL! Thanks for the added pressure buddy!!!! Now these guys are gonna expect something out of me. I'm hoping to get back on the board this year. I have spent too much time the past couple years holding out for a true bruiser. I've been thinking.....this year I'm coming back to reality! The first mature, 130" buck I see is gonna be in trouble. Good luck to you my friend, I know you will lay down another great buck this season.
Wow those are some great lookin bucks goherd. I dont mind drivin if you dont mind sharing lol I went out and shot for a bit this morning and im still not hitting my 50 yard dots as consistant as I would like but I am spot on at 20, 30, and 40 so I have to say I am pretty pleased to be able to do that after having my lower back fused this past June.
We could probably work something out. How far are you from me? I live in Jacksonville. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I live by the Cabelas in Hoffman estates. It's about 4 1/2 hrs from your area. Right now I get to hunt 27 acres in Ottawa near starved rock but I would love to get a chance to hunt a different place once.
Headed out to put a few finishing touches on what I believe will be a great stand for me this fall. Gonna trim a few lanes and try to level up my stand a little bit. The only decent tree in the area is not very straight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Double Down We are on the board boys! I doubled up on 2 adult does on opening morning of WI bow season. Watch for the footage on one of the upcoming Bowhunt or Die episodes!
I was very close on closing the deal on a doe, I had a couple small bucks also there and one smelt something he did not like, and was doing the foot stomp for 30 min. and she was nervous. I could not move. But I will catch up to one soon.
Well guys I think I'm going to be sick. I went out on opening day and at 7:30 pm I had a 130 plus in range. That is until a coyote came into play and screwed everything up. Sorry man! I'll get over it though. Plenty of season left.
I think we should start a seperate contest on the other animals we take during deer season. Turkey: hen 25points, jake 35 points, tom 50 points. yotes: 50 points rabbits 25 points squirrel: 25 points you get the Idea. Think we can get them to go along with it?
