That's pretty strange they wouldn't steal the camera. Is it out on public land?
I'm pretty blessed that I have all my own private land. I may dive into the public next year, well maybe this year still if Eric and I can get hooked up for a hunt.

Seriously? What are they planning on doing with the SD card, check it for deer? These people are not only jerks, they're also weird. Sorry to hear you got ripped off man.

Sorry to hear about your SD card the nerve of some people. While I hang the rest of my stand this past weekend. Checked my trail cams on my other land have a 10 point with about a 19" inside spread. Only huntable buck so far, but a good number of doe.

In New Hampshire all land can be hunted unless it is posted. I'm hunting on a friends property up there but its not posted. I've seen a lot of movement over the summer but no big bucks. There is a young 6 point and a lot of does. I'm more hoping I get a shot at the bear that knocked my camera down there in June. I've got pictures of him throughout the summer.

Unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of mature bucks in NH. If I see the six, it will be a tough decision for me. Its the nature of hunting NH.

Thats awesome Chris you got a pic of that big guy  Did you get the stand hung this weekend for him?

Your doing the work to get after him and I hope you get an opportunity at him. From the pics he looks like a main frame ten, unless I'm missing somthing?

Looking foward to the season! Hopefully you can come up and get a hunt in up here. At the same time though I would rather you put that big beast down early and be done with it. :tu:

Yup, I have the stand hung and a little lane cleared. I couldn't do much clearing because the lack of wilderness.
Main frame 10 he is. He's not a huge moster by any means but may gross 130. Not too bad at all really. Still kind of a young guy.

Well the public land I hunted last year decided to do a drawing for permits this year. Unfortunately I did not get my name drawn. I have one other public place I can hunt but I am definitely not as excited about hunting there... ARGH!! Anyway I still have 17 days til opening day.. Anyone else getting impatient?

I'm ready for hunting to start, but it starts on Saturday in Wisconsin. The weather is cooling off just in time. Looks like a great weekend for hunting here.

I'm jealous. i've never been more excited. Hopefully the corn is still in the field so that the bucks will stay out of infront of other people.

There's only 3 teams on the board so far. I was expecting more than that by now. I know a lot of seasons haven't opened yet, but a lot of the south / southeast has.

Ok I have cams out on two places I have right to hunt on. I have stands out just waiting for opening day to get here. So far just a few does on cam. But you know the saying where there are does the buck will soon follow. Good luck. And safe hunting

I'll be in the stand tomorrow! There is a lot of movement where my stand is, not all deer. I'm hoping old blacky comes out.

Weather looks good for early season. High of 60, little to no NW wind.

    I'm fired up!

Chris I only wish we had bears here. Man I want to go bear hunting.

I wish we had bears also. All we have is bears fans, but we can't shoot them.

I am waiting for some mature bucks to show back up on my cameras. I know they are out there. They come and then leave for a month or so  At least I know they are in the area and during the rut they should be strolling back through.
