Both. rage 2 blade and Montec CS. Carry em both, use em both. Can't say which I like better. Like the hole of the mechanical, like the simplicity of fixed blade. I kind of base my use on terrain and which tree I'm in. Longer shots usually the rage, up close stuff the Montec.

I shoot a mechanical broadhead. The reason is i dont feel like messing with my bow and retuning it for fixed blades. My mechanicals shoot right with my field points.

Yea I am thinking about using the Muzzy MX-3 but the Rage cutting diameter keeps me interested in those too.

Fixed Blade for me. I shoot either the Magnus Stinger 4-blade or the NAP Thunderhead. It takes a lot of KE to get pass throughs with mechanicals. I like the simplicity and reliability of a fixed blade. If your bow is in tune your BH's will hit where your field points do. I never have to adjust my sights when switching from one to another.

I use slick tricks, and they fly dead on with my field points out to 40 yards (furthest I've tested them). No risk of a fixed blade not opening.

Taken directly from the slicktrick website. "SLICK TRICK Policy: If you receive TRICKS and are not pleased in any way, SLICK TRICK refuses to accept your money. Just return them with a note and we will cheerfully replace or refund."

Fixed for me. I switched from G5 Montecs to NAP Hellrazors. I like the simplicity of a fixed head. One thing I noticed right out of the box with the Hellrazors was how much bigger it was than the Montec.

And vegetarian is old Indian word for bad hunter.

Right now mechanical (Rage) as it was the one recommended when I started a year ago. I may experiment though.

And sharper too I bet. My first year of hunting was with the Montecs and I didn't know any better. You can't beat the sharpness of any NAP head in my opinion.

I have used both with equal success

This year I have G5 Strikers and T3's....I have full confidence in each

I've never experienced any type of failure with a mechanical head on 20+ animials (whitetails and black bears) killed with them

But...there are some mechanical brands out there that I would probably not use

I have used both with great sucess. I got more in depth with my tuning procedures this season and decided to go with fixed blade heads. I am currently tuning with the Muzzy 3 blade, but going to switch over to the Montecs and see what results I get from those. I truly stand by the theory that shot placement is much more important than type or size of BH!

I shoot Montec CS on the recommendation of a friend. Haven't managed to harvest a deer with them YET. Only problem i have with them is it seems like they refuse to get sharp

Why not shoot both? I'll be using HellRazors for elk and Spitfire Edge for whitetails.
