Intro Genesis27:3 here...I am a 41 year old Southern Indiana bow hunter. I hunt a private 200 acre farm with a buddy of mine. It is rolling hills, covered in white oaks, creek running through the bottoms & the rest is planted in beans & a 10 acre food plot. We spent March - July clearing paths & planting in clover + trimming shooting lanes & hanging stands. I am super pumped about this deer season!!!
Well guys i was informed that tommy two shot, will not be on are team due to the amount of people and teams, he was sent elsewhere.....
Ok guys we need to vote for a team captain for the lenght of the contest. I have no problem doing since I'm going to be limited this year on hours in the stand. If anyone else wants to be captain just post it anyone is 100% fine with me
TEK, why dont you take the captain spot this season. I had it last year you should take it this season.......
Our season here in So Ill starts October 1st. My name is Jessica. I am 22 years old and this will be my second year of bow hunting! My family has around 200 acres. Only 10 of those are farmed; the rest, my father has just recently decided to fence off the property into sections which will inhabit some big black deer. Ha Ha (I told him I'm not too good of a shot and there is a possibility that we may have beef instead of venison) He didn't believe me because I shot 2 last year! Hah. I am planning on hunting some other areas in the southern counties of So Ill as well. I am new to this thread and contest so be bear with me! I am so excited for Oct 1 to get here, I can barely stand it!
It looks like I might be the old guy at 46......My name is Doug and I hunt mostly in PA. I love archery and shoot year round in a spot league during winter and shoot 3-D every Sunday that it doesn't pour down rain in the spring/summer months. Our season starts Oct. 1 and runs through Nov.12. I have a few decent Bucks on camera and one bruiser I've been chasing for 3 years. He hasn't slipped up yet.
Hey, I'm Waid. I'm 37 and from Bridge City, TX. Oct. 1 is our opener also. This year I'll be hunting a small lease (160 acres) that butts up to an E TX lake (Dam-B). I just got this lease recently, so it's new ground for me. Mostly hardwoods and several intersecting creeks. I might hunt a some public land again this year if I don't see potential on the lease. However, right now I can't stop thinking about heading to CO next weekend! Good Luck!
My name is Nathan and this will be my third season. I live and hunt in IL; this year I will be hunting some public land and couple little private spots. If all goes well I'll be back on my lease from last year since the talks with the outfitter that offered ten times the amount I was paying aren't final. But even if the outfitter does get that parcel I still have access to the back of the farm that the family keeps for themselves. I'm really hoping not to have tag soup again this season but I've set my self a 130 minimum so we'll see!! Also if anyone from IL needs a cameraman let me know I'd love to get some of teams deer down on film.
that sound awesome nathan! i live in central IL and hunt mostly public ground. i would like to start in on the filming the hunt part as well but don't have the financial stability to get a camera right now lol. maybe we could get together on a weekend or something and do a public ground hunt somewhere.
