Well Im sure people ask this all the time but how high do you hang your stands? I had mine at about 14' last year and didn't seem like it was high enough. So how high and how much success/failures have you had at the height. Success/failure is if deer busted you or not.

I don't like to be lower than 20' but it really depends on the type of trees and cover

It depends on the cover and the tree.

I've killed deer anywhere from 10' to 20' high.

Most of my stands are 16-18 ft.

I try to go up as high as the tree will let me (before it starts to branch off) in my area this is probably about 20 feet or so. I like to be tucked up under the canopy as much as possible. Not sure it helps, but I feel like it does. Of course this all depends on the tree, some around here dont branch out until 80 feet or so, and that would be a hell of a climb.

Little cover-at least 20 feet, if I have great cover at 15 ft, then I will stick with it.

I'm at around 20 feet; however, most of my deer killed or spotted are when I'm on the ground at the feet of my stand, with my head up my ACE.

Just enough to feel good but not too much where I have the mad munchies. Oh tree stand height? As high as the tree will let me go in my climber. Whoops.

We're up 25 to 30 feet. Been messing with that over the last few years and noticed we were seeing more stuff at that height. Not sure if it makes a huge difference, but we are getting better results there.

I like to be around 20 feet up. Just depends on the tree and the landscape though.

I've been busted at 12 feet. Like bam deer, bam deer staring straight at me, bam deer didnt run and has arrow sticking out the side:)
As manly as I like to be or prettend to be, I have never gotten used to climbers and every step I go up a tree makes my breathing increase and causes nervous sweating. Once I hit 20 feet in those things I get that feeling like im staring off the edge of a 1000 foot cliff.
oh I'll still climb them but once that feeling sets in, I say to myself thats high enough..lol.
