Should we just get a name and team captain or give them till Tuesday??you can tell im eager for it to start
Well this morning i woke up and went and put in my food plot this is the second day weve been out of the 100's in almost 90 days and wow what a relief. The movement here has been almost nonexistent due to how hot it is and there hasnt been anything really to eat or drink but, thank God i hunt right on the Red River and there is vegitation and water right there. I havent had a lot of time to put out my corn in front of cameras and on trails this summer to get pics but i did get a picture of my 120" 8 point that i passed last year at 8 yards! my set up that i put in this morning is at the pinch point that you can see right under here i put about a half acre food plot in there and a feeder in a draw right behind it to the west (right). this picture was taken in 08 from google and hasnt been updated yet so there are way more trees and brush here now. I think it should be a perfect spot as long as we can get a lil rain and some good luck!
Welcome aboard HF. Good to have you on the team. Here's where we are. Looks like we are still missing 2 members. Mr4pt and Tall Tails. It looks like we need to get a team captain selected because they are going to start an alternates thread tomorrow, and we may need to get a couple. Tall Tails only post was to join the list for this contest. Mr4pt has about 50 posts, but neither has logged in since the 31st. I sent both of them a PM a few days ago. Neither have emails listed in their profile. Do we have any volunteers for team captain? I will do it if nobody else is interested. Once we have a team captain, then we can vote on a team name.

I am fine and more than happy to be captain if that is what everyone wants. Just let me know! As far as the team name goes I don't care what it is. I just want us all to put down some good deer this year!
i just threw the names in a hat and got GCLIFT....i mean if wildfire wants everyone to vote then lets vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!but thats what i got when i pulled a name out of the hat
Gclift has my vote by the hat draw....and i like archery addicts for the name that has a good ring to it lol....
I'll agree with the hat draw and throw my vote in for Gclift for team captain. As for team name, I think both Arch Angels and Archery Addicts sound good, doesn't matter which one.
That looks like 6 votes for Gclift. So I will pronounce Gclift the team captain since that is a majority of the 10 members that have checked in. Do you think we should let them know in the Alternate thread that we have 2 no shows? That way we can fill our roster. Missing Tall Tails & Mr4pt.
Pure................ YES... The chemical is called Luminol.. This is what we use when someone has "cleaned" up a bloody scene.. Clean it with bleach, water, gas, terpentine, whatever, it does not matter... Spray the Luminol on the floor/carpet and it will shine blue.. No black light needed.... I have thought about that for tracking deer !!!!!!!!!!!! There was a thread about using Hydrogen Peroxide and water to spray on blood trails and it would leave foaming areas where the slight blood was.. Never tried it, but imagine it would work..
Well, its all over but the crying !!!!!!!!!!!!! The time is here !!!!!!!!!!!!! Headed out Friday back to camp and let the blood shed begin !!!!!!!! Will be there for about 3-4 days.. Heat or not...
