My 13 year old cousin (female) can pull my bow back set on 60#. She pulled two different bows back pretty easily today at 60lbs. Any similar stories?
lol, your cousin's a freak of nature. My 25yo brother can't pull back my bow set at 65# and he's in pretty good shape.
Lol I know that's what I was thinking earlier. She pulled it back 2-3 times then pulled another older bow of ours set in the #50-#60 range back a few times. I was in disbelief.
You guys have similar avatars. I always thought my wife was strong for pulling hers back on #45, but she only weighs 115lbs.
Got to tell you this story. When ever my wife's cousin came over he always asked about my guns. When compounds first came out I got one. When he asked I told him about my compound. He said oh I heard of them, they are real easy to shoot. He kind of ticked me off and I got the bow, handed it to him and said give her a pull. Now he's a big guy, close to 300 pounds and I enjoyed seeing him struggle and fail.
Yes, I have grown men friends that cannot pull my bow at 60#, my wife a little woman can pull roughly 40lbs. For a thirteen year old girl to pull that kind of wieght is very impressive.
My cousin is a bit of a bigger girl. Maybe 190 lbs with a large frame. My wife is about 5'2" and weighs 115lbs and can pull her PSE back at #45. It's weird though because the last time she was in a bow shop she was pulling the Mathews Jewel back on #50 (roughly) and claimed it felt easier. I've too noticed my Hoyt on #70 feels a lot better than my old PSE on #65. Perhaps Mathews and Hoyt just have better draw cycles to their bows?
