My new m80 has pictures on the sd card but the camera that i take in woods with me says no images available, but my pc at home reads the sd card fine. WHy wont my camera read the sd card from the m80? it reads our other cameras but not this one.

its all marketing. moultrie wants you to buy their picture viewer and somehow they format their pictures to not work on a regular digital camera. i usually take my laptop with me so i can view them, save them, and then get my camera back out for more

1 thing you could try is download the pics to your computer so you have them. Next stick the card in the digital camera you use to view the pics and format the card to that digital camera, keep in mind this will erase all the pics. After the card is done formatting in the digital camera stick the card in the m80, turn it on, and if theres a message in the viewer that says "card err" you cant use that digital camera to view the pics that your m80 takes. Now, go through the menu in the m80 until you reach the one that says "delete all?" press yes and that will format the card to the m80 so you can at least use the card in that camera.

If the above doesn't work try formatting though the computer but do the full format and not the quick format, also make sure file system is fat 32 format if the card is above a 2 gb. If that dont work format the card in the m80 as explained above.

My advice would be to buy 2 sd cards so you swap them out so you can keep the m80 in the woods and you'll just have to wait until you get home to view the pics.

i always bring extra cards to swap. If my cam is at a crossing or scrape etc..... i like to check it there to determine if i should leave it or move to a new spot.

I just bought a M80 yesterday based off lots of good reviews and few negative ones. I hoping to have a little better luck with it then the Primos 46.

I too just swap the cards when I go out.

download the correct format type so they can be read in both and then reformat the card so it has the same format as the other. Another option would be to look at CNET.com and see if they have a program that can reformat also in the type needed.
