This is really BS!!! Goshen college in Indiana has decided not to play the national anthem before sporting events. If they can decide they are not going to play it because they dont believe in it, then the schools that are supposed to play there should be able to refuse to go there because they do. This is BS!!!
I would suspect the US government wouldn't have to send them anymore money for grants and all the misc. bull**** they rake us for. If I were a parent of a college age kid.... no way would they go there. Not only that, if I were a Goshen alumni.... no way are those suckers EVER getting another penny of my money. In fact... I'd campaign to all the big supporters to reconsider their donations until such time as the present admin is chased out of town as they play the National Anthem. THAT said.... can you show me a link that says "They don't believe in it"? How so? What's your source?
What is their justification? Before I begin condemning us all as a nation, I need a bit more facts than the initial post.

I don't know why they ever did this...I live in Goshen; about 10 min from Goshen College. I was never going to go to Goshen College; but since this happened I won't even think about going there. I know Brennaman's son and go to school with him, maybe I could ask him a few questions This has really made Goshen look bad..It doesn't surprise me at all though; Goshen keeps getting worse and worse. I need to get outta here
A German, Italian, and American die and go to hell. The devil agrees to give each of them one phone call a piece at a high expense rate. The German calls home and talks for 28 minutes. The charge is $1900. The German accepts the fee and complains at the outrageous price. The Italian calls home and talks for 48 minutes. The charge is $4700. The Italian accepts the fee and says this is absurd! That is $97.91 per minute! The American calls home and talks for 3 hours and 41 minutes. The charge is $100. The other two guys are furious. They say "he talked longer! How is his price at only $100?" The devil then explains, "America is considered local calls now every since that country has went to hell".
I would rather have someone stand for something instead of just living day by day in the cookie cutter mindset that seems to have entrapped the citizens of our country. Too many people go into autopilot mode each day, claiming they believe in this and that while condemning other folks for their supposed shortcomings, while in reality those same "wholesome people" are the biggest hypocrites known to man. PLUS this... "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
