Hey I'm thinking about giving the fusion fletchings a try, but I don't have a fletching jig. A friend suggested the Arizona E-Z fletch mini. Does anybody here have any experience with it? Is there a definite reason not to get one?

No experience with the EZ fletch. The only jig I have ever used is my bitzenburger and its great.

Haven't used one myself but I have seen them used and they seem like they are very simple and very fast.

Like others have said; Bitzenberger. Those Arizona EZ Fletch's are ok for touch up work, but they just don't hold to accuracy to a bitz, or really any other fixed fletching jug. IMO, waste of money.

I would seriously consider a bitzenbeger, or JoJann

I was watching Fred Eichler promote the EZ fletch a bit on this year's first episode of Easton Bowhunting, which he was doing so largely because he was hunting with the inventor of the darned thing... :)

I was wondering: Can you fletch helical with an EZ fletch, or are they all straight or somewhat offset?

They make a helical model to the EZ-Fletch. I had a straight EZ-Fletch initially, but traded up to a Bitz with a helical and straight clamp and haven't looked back.

They're okay if you are doing touch-up here and there, but I'd rather go with a Bitz for larger jobs.

Just received the EZ Fletch Mini which is a helical style fletching tool. I did 5 arrows the first night with no issues. THe only issue that I did have was using too much glue on the initial arrow. I am not sure if they have straight arms that you can purchase for it or not. Good luck

Bitzenberger all the way. I had a Grayling which is like the Bitz but plastic which worked great but wanted the best of the best so I got a couple Bitzenbergers with the Zenith upgrade receiver. PERFECT fletching every time. I have an EZ Fletch and tried it a couple times and do not like the results from it especially if using superglue. I had issues with vanes sticking in wrong position before I got the top put on to align it

Had an EZ fletch, didn't really care for it. It was just to flimsey being made of plastic. I've also owned a Jo-Jan multifletcher which I really liked. Now I've gotten lazy and just use shrink-fletch, greatest thing since sliced bread.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

Bitzenbergers are less messy and you can adjust the offset for differebt size arrows!

NOTHING does as accurate and consistent a job as a Bitzenburger. They will also last a lifetime and then some.

Yep, the Bitz is king. I know some shops who use Bitz jigs and do a large volume of arrows through them and some are very hold but work like new. More money, but its a very worthy investment.
