Hello all I have a couple of confessions to make: I do not come from a hunting family, I do not live in a hunting community, I do not know anyone who hunts regularly, and lastly I have nearly 0 hunting experience....also I am pretty young. With all that said however I do have great respect for both mother nature and the ancient act of hunting, truly the oldest profession. My father is an immigrant and helped provide food for his family when he was a child by hunting birds in the foothills of lebanon. I returned with him to his childhood home when I was 8 and he took me on a small hunting excursion where i shot and killed a small bird. That, is my only hunting experience to this day. I have a Browning Micro Midas 3 from when i was a kid... ive maxed out the draw to 40lbs, put on a WB and have been doing target practice for the past couple O months in my backyard (i am fortunate enough to have plenty of room to do so) So here I am, possibly taking the next step into your world. The beautiful thing about the internet is that if you use it right you can teach yourself nearly any new hobby or activity, and that is what i hope to do with bowhunting. I am here to learn about the tools and the trade from the old blood. thanks for reading -newblood

Welcome fellow Californian. There is tons of hunting here. You just have to be proactive on your scouting trips. Take advantage of all the U.S. Forestry and BLM land. Happy hunting.
