Has anyone else seen the previews on the history channel about a place in alaska that does taxidermy? How long do you think that will last? I can see the activists protesting already.
I did'nt catch the name of the taxidermist company. But it's gonna be all about them and what they do. I'm excited to see it but I can just here all the crap it's gonna get already.
Ah, another reality show based in Alaska, I get it now. Isn't there anything going on in Kansas worth putting in a reality show?... oh wait; Jerry Springer!
I see it lasting a little while.I will watch maybe three episodes before it gets extremly boring. The only reason I will even watch it at all is because I have never seen a taxidermist at work
I seen the preveiws cant wait, swamp people didnt get canceled and their actually killing the gators on tv, dont think it will get canceled if its good.
I've watched a couple of the episodes. It's fairly interesting. I did find it a bit strange that one of the mounts they were doing was for an African Lion. I would have thought that being based out of Alaska, the show would feature some of the great game from Alaska.
sky, you are correct it is interesting... i know very little about the tax industry but always fun to learn new things!
I have found the show interesting so far...but not overly impressed with end result of some of the mounts.
I think it's cool. It's a great concept because in Alaska you never know what's coming through the door. A 90% whitetail shop wouldn't work. That'd get old!
Its a little to much like that sons of guns show for me. Everything seems to be really scripted. I watched them work on that polar bear and have to say I sure as hell would'nt have paid for that.
X2, I wouldnt have either, you could see the splice on the muzzle where they added the new hide. The Lion looked like he had that Deer in the headlights look Show is interesting though!
I agree the show is interesting, a little cheesy, but it is nice to see the exposure on prime time tv.
I thought the Loin was strange. I can't believe you would mount a loin and not show some teeth, kinda looked like a puppy dog pose, not a King of the Jungle pose. The polar bear was probably a real tough job, but the face didn't really turn out that good. I also thought it was kinda bad when they molded that old crab. The molded crab came out alright, but I'm pretty sure the customer was expecting something different.
I don't like there work it doesn't look right. I watched the first 2 and it was a big waste of time. IMO
