So I'm VERY close to getting my new bow. Really all I need to do is sell my old one first.
With that, I know exaxtly what I want...

    Mathews T5 quiver
Axion GLX sight, 5 .010 pins
    QAD drop away rest

Since I have a few weeks potentially, does anyone know where you can buy this kind of stuff cheaper. The shops around here have outrageous markup on it.

    Thanks,
    Chris

One time I heard of this fantastic website that had great product options, great reviews, and a great forum board as well. The name of the site was www.bowhunting.com I think.

Yeah I've been searching the AT classifieds.

    I don't really trust ebay.

Mean V, I'm on your site as we speak.

I don't like actually posting questions and talking on AT though, there's just too many people. This website IMO is much better. You get answers to questions, get to know people...

Just a thought....maybe think about throwing some of your money to that over-priced local archery shop. You never know when you might hit a point where you will need there services! Buying things off the internet is great (I do it myself) but make sure you're tossing your local shop a bone or they might not be there when you need them!

I do support my local shops. However, i'm not going to spend over $200 more. I'll gladly give them the opportunity to work on pricing and get more competitive. Maybe some of these places woudln't be hurting for business so bad if they didn't try to make all their money off one person.
I was at the gun show a good while back. 1 booth had a huge crowd of people buying guns like crazy. Why? Becaue they were the cheapest. Same guns, but I've talked the owner a few times and he said that his approach is volume. He's not trying to make all his money on me, just a little bit, but if he's the cheapest, he'll sell the most and make money that way.
    Capitalism at it's finest.
I'm in a pretty sweet place. I have 4-6 shops within a reasonable driving distance. I spend my money there don't worry, but I'm not going to just throw it away. For example, I'm getting a new z7x. 3 of these shops carry mathews products. 1 shop has it for $799, 2 shops have them for $750. Why would I buy the $799 bow? If they had it competitively priced, I'm jump on it, I like that shop a lot and the people are really good, but not good enough for me to pay an extra $50 plus a higher tax in that county. One of the shops has all the accessories as the other, but at $10 more each... why would I buy that?

Not tyring to be a butt. I'm all about supporting the locals, but there comes a point when you're being taken advantage of because of the fact.
