finally chrono'd both bows tonight

    The 2009 Ross Cardiac 31 setup:
    29" DL, 61# DW, 398.6 grain arrow. 2 speed nocks. IBO tested @ 299fps

    chrono: 265 fps

    The 2010 Quest Smoke setup
    29" DL, 66# DW, 398.6 grain arrow. G5 speed stud. IBO tested @ 309fps

    chrono: 280fps

    Each bow put a dozen arrows through the chrono and those numbers are the average. Not as fast as I hoped but not as slow as I thought. I'm happy. :nana:

    Very nice! Those are certainly respectable speeds for any hunting bow. Should get the job done this fall. :tu:

    next question... can you put a dozen arrows in a saucer at 20 yards... :) Sounds like a great setup! Good luck!

    I can do that at 50yds on most days...

    that is actually really good considering your weight and that heavy an arrow. how do they shoot and group

    um...what weight? 398 grains?? They shoot just fine.
