if you have a bow that doesnt have a rear bushing, the STS front mount is a good option too, thats the one i have on my bow. you can see a picture of it in the thread i recently started about getting a new bow. works really well, and all but eliminates wrist slap. it wasnt super expensive either. and "the best one" will be the one that works the best for you. no such thing as a "best" anything.

I'll put the MeanV up against any of them.

Randy Ulmer liked mine enough that he Bought 4 last year ;)

I was the first to offer Camo and still have many patterns available including the very popular Lost Camo. It is also the lightest on the market.

The MeanV Maximum is made from all corrosion resistant material. The Aluminum is 7075 same light weight as 6061 with twice the tensile strength of 6061. It has been Bullet Proof! Other pluses are very soft stopper but durable as well as easily and inexpensive to change if the time comes:)

Totally agree. I've owned a number of them on bows. Great product, great company.

I've had the MeanV, and, I agree.

Quality craftsmanship, affordable, great customer service.

If I'm purchasing a suppressor for my bow, it's gonna be a Mean V.

Thanks Guys! I was glad that Randy put his stamp of approval on my product as well as the plugs Curt Wells (Bowhunter Equipment Editor) has given my product, but it's really the 1,000's of average guys that have bought the MeanV, used them, raved about them, then told their friends about them that has made the MeanV Suppressor such a huge success. I now have several models available, including OEM replacements for a lot of bows

To All of You a Big Thank You!!!

Our product is totally different than a improvised do it yourself suppressor, different material, different machining. All with one purpose in mind, making the best, lightest, toughest suppressor possible.

Dan, my Turbohawk isn't made for a rear-mount supressor. I've seen the STS ones on your site, but do you make your own version of a rear-mounting supressor?

Patrick, I didn't see any appreciable way to improve on a front mount mount so I have just sold the STS for guys who need that application.

I was the first to market the direct connect rear mount which was an improvement over a bracket mounted rear mount suppressor. The MeanV does have slightly over 1/4" adjustment for tuning, etc.

It is amazing how many bow measurements are very close for instance: Mathews Switchback 7 3/8", Mathews Drenalin 7 3/8", Mathews Reezen 7.0 7 3/8", Mathews Z7 Extreme 7" Same MeanV would basically fit all those.

If it can't be improved I was not interested :)

If this is the suppresor that came on your bow (which I'm guessing it is) there's really no advantage to switching. You're correct in that they all work pretty much the same. It's a relatively simple device, so there's not much noticable improvement you'll get in replacing your OEM supressor with an aftermarket one. IMO you're better off saving your money and spending it on something else.

If your bow does not come with a suppressor from the factory, I've personally been very happy with the String Tamer II from Norway Industries.

MeanV for me. Dan is a great guy and makes a great product. I like the fact that you can get them in any camo finish you want and they appear to be OEM equipment rather than a one size fits all look. Simple and very effective.

    Thanks MM!

Actually OEM replacements have been a very good seller this year. Randy replaced all his OEM string suppressors. I'm sure he wouldn't have done it if he could not tell a difference.

Many OEM string suppressors have too hard a rubber pad, and/or hollow rods. Ever tap the end of a pipe? ;)
