Ruttnutt baught me one of them 6.00 Starbucks Frothy Latas ( or how ever you spell it ) on the way to Maryland, took a pint of Chocolate milk to make that thing tast right!
LOL! I think the last time I went to starbucks it was like 7.00 for a cappuccino. (@ Vegas) My sister got me a starbucks gift card... so I used it up. I like their stuff... but dang, who in their right mind spends 7.00 on cup of coffee???
Couple years ago before the economy finally caught up with the medical sales industry as well, we were at our national sales meeting and every vendor there was giving away Starbucks gift cards like they were candy... I came home with about $80 in Starbucks cards... The mochas I like from there are around $4, so I got to make a lot of trips to Starbucks that next year.
I watched the episode and don't believe they ever said who tagged it. They showed them joking about putting half a tag each on it though.
And did I hear accurately that they said Waddell's blind was "2,000 yards away"? They may have been exaggerating a bit. I'm curious if I heard correctly, and how close they actually were...
I actually thought they said 1,000 yards apart but could be wrong. Too bad I've already deleted it from the DVR or I'd rewatch it.
Is this video online anywhere? I went through my recent bone collector shows on pvr and none of them were this episode.
Wow. With that kind of a shot you would think that the fletching could have even ripped some things open if the blades didn't open. That is one tough deer. That arrow must have went just over or just beside part of the hart and right under the lungs maybe barely touching the lungs. That's crazy though.
to back up what Christine said, not that she needs it cause she nailed it... But I am a paramedic, and the human body has some amazing compensatory reflexes and mechanisms to cope with injuries.. I would assume that an animal such as a whitetail that are already amazingly hardy creatures would have same such reflexes to deal.. Although I have seen and made many such shots, and never seen a deer go more than 80-100 yards(when hit that well)... Tough deer deserving much respect.. This is how people live when shot in the head by a gun... impaled by large objects.. and so on and so forth.. That being said, I think I just lost faith in mechanical broadheads, and will be using the G5 Montec this upcoming season.. JMHO...
I've witnessed It too, It was this year. A friend of mine (Larry) shot a doe low In the brisket. He watched her bed about 200 yards away so he backed out and called me and my brother. My brother and I posted In the direction she should go If he jumped her when he started on the blood trail. Larry snuck up to her and drilled her right behind the shoulder perfect after she stood up 15 yards from him. She ran off 60 yards and bedded down. We left her be for 20 minutes and slowly walked up to her. We couldn't believe It, she was still alive. We all had an arrow on just In case she was still alive when we walked up. I had the best angle so Larry told me to let one fly. I hit her a tad high but still got the top of both lungs. We watched her live for another 10 minutes In disbelief before I finally walked up to her and grabbed my arrow that was still In her and pulled It out and shoved It In the direction of the heart. That did It then. When Larry gutted her out both lungs had 2 different holes In them. Anything Is possible with a wild animal. Larry's broadhead was a 3 blade Snuffer. It don't matter the head In some cases. Also 2 years ago my dad double lunged a doe. 7 hours later and 1/2 mile through the woods he finally got her. He snuck up to her In her bed and heart shot her. Wild animals are something folks.
