Diamond Black Ice. Smooth and quiet...I like it. Although, I've been getting the itch to sell it and buy a recurve. I shot a friend's Black Widow recently. It was pretty nice. I really don't have much to compare it to though.
Hoyt Trykon XL. I like it very much. A bit heavy, but no hand shock and very smooth. It is also forgiving. Sal
Currently a Hoyt Maxxis, but just put an order in for an BT Invasion. Like the hoyt OK, but i've just been a little off with it. Changing up my luck so to speak.
PSE Bow Madness, Elite Pulse on the way best bow I've shot in a while if you factor in that it's a speed bow.
You shooting the Maxxis 31 or 35? Have you shot the Invasion? All my bows have VaporTrail strings and Limb Drivers on them as well as a MeanV. Not sure what Bow I'll shoot this year but the journey to it will be Fun!! Dan
I'm shooting 2 Elite Z28's both set up identical. The difference is one is snow camo. The Z28 is definitely one of the best hunting bows ever made. The new Elite Hunter may come close but I won't be needing any other hunting bows anytime soon. I've sold off my Mathews DXT, Hoyt UltraTec, and Bowtech Old Glory in favor of the Elites.
Athens Accomplice 34.... Smooth draw with a rock solid wall! The one thing that took a little getting used to was the thicker handle. I will have an Exceed this year as well... little longer ata and a better grip.
I shoot a Bowtech Pro 38 and love it. I will always own a Bowtech! Here is site to check out for a bow and it is a good way to get it set right then you tinker with it. www.huntersfriend.com and check out the packages!
im going to have to shoot them side by side but the warranty that elite offers is pretty awesome thanks for all the replies...
I agree that the Z7 is smoother than the Judge but the new 2011 Elites (Pure, Pulse and especially the Hunter) redefine smooth. I never really did consider the Judge or GT500 to be all that smooth. What got me into Elite was the Z28 which compares in smoothness to the new Pure and Pulse.
Still shoot a 2007 Hoyt Vectrix. Does fine and I'll never buy a new one for several years to come anyway. Only way I'll be upgrading is if we pick up a sponsor through the show.
Would you shoot one that you liked less than your Vectrix just because it was free? Just curious. I'd love to get sponsored, just don't have any skill at killing nice bucks.
I shoot a Hoyt Vectrix XL and couldn't be happier with it. It's fast, smooth, and everything else I need in a bow.
