So I started putting pine neddles / branches in my scentaway bag while I store my camo between hunts. Kinda got me thinking what other natural things I could throw in there that are in my and the deers natural enviroment. Of course I use all this after washing with scent free detergant and after primos earth but I like the idea of a little extra cover! Do you guys do this if so what do you use?

When I am in my stand in a cedar tree, I take small branches and rub them all over my clothes. smell nice and natural then :tu:

I fill the bottom of my tote with clean dirt and have a metal shelf to keep the clothes off the dirt.

I just use the log 6 to get rid of all smells then I spary them down with earth tone sprays. I like the one that smells like freshly plowed dirt

Thats not really natural. The OP is looking for natural scents not manufactured.

I use cedar branches if where I'm hunting has a number of them (not just cedar groves). You can also use prisimons if they're in your area.

I take some cedar branches home and boil them in water for about a half hour and then let it cool and pour it in a spray bottle then i good to go all season. Cheap cover scent that works well IMO

Thats brings another question do you dip in the stand? some people tell me it covers your breath while others say I shouldnt do it? I dont most of the time.

Also would could boil down acorns? like metioned with cedars?

When I get to my hunting grounds I usually have to walk through a horse pasture.

I generally take an extra couple of minutes to make sure I step in horse poo and I use my feet to get it all over my boots. Now I don't put my clothes in it, and I wear rubber boots, but I still feel like it might help me from having deer cut my trail. I see deer in the horse pasture with the horses all the time.

I also layer my clothes as I put them in my totes, and on each layer, Ill add a thick layer of baking soda.

I throw balsam, hemlock, crushed acorns, and cedar on the bottom of my toat. I once read that a deer can distinguish between 7 different smells at one time. I've always thought that if I could have my clothes smell like seven different things stronger than my own sent that I'd be onto something. Cant find seven things that stink worse than me yet!
