Very interesting. I wonder what these "other interests" are?

Justin, How did you find this out? It isn't on their site yet. All the Bowtech guys have been unusually quiet on both boards lately too.

It was put out in the form of a press release to all media outlets today. As far as the BowTech guys being unusually quiet, it has nothing to with anything related to ... well, anything! :d I'm spending all my time on the trapping boards these days, and only occasionally check in to the bowhunting forums to make sure I'm not missing any PMs or anything. Matt's been in the mountains, away from civilization, and on and on.

Dan (MeanV) has been holding the fort down for us though.

That and we were asked NOT to post it on any message board as we all know the mayhem and speculation that happens with news that means nothing. Just the ways of big business and opportunities. Didn't someone once right that job turn overs in areas of such are like 2 years and go.

Greg and Rob, I didn't mean to imply anything as far as Bowtech was being secretive or whatever. I like Bowtech and the people they surround themselves with. You guys being on that list. I just ran two observations together and it came out wrong.

I just noticed that the other site especially, there were always 2 to 3 Bowtech guys online at any given time. I just haven't seen the activity I'm used to seeing from the Bowtech Corporate guys. That's all I meant.

Now if they would just can Buckeye things would be great.:d

    Just kidding Scott.....

See you at the ATA show..(Greg,Scott)

He contacted me about joining our team - but I told him we weren't that type of company! he he he... I'm sure some other bow manufacturer will snag him and give him a hefty royalty of growth to make it worth his while.

I hope your "take down" comes with a stronger team effort than that of an Ohio College football team showed last season.:bash:

I bet he's wondering that too..........just a nice way of saying "Thanks.......now get out"

It must suck to have your company ripped from you after dedicating 9 years of your life to it but if he didn't see that coming when they sold to Savage then it's hard to feel sorry for him.

Kevin Strother is enjoying a good laugh about this I'm sure.

If you read the title of the press release, John is leaving, he's not being ousted if that's what you think...I know this for fact because he's not only my boss, he's also a good friend...

Kevin on the other hand didn't have a choice because he was fired...

Did any of you guys think that maybe now that he has successfully started, built, and now sold one of the greatest bow companies in the world.........that maybe it's time to enjoy the fruits of his labor? There is a lot of speculation about this floating around, and I don't understand why. If I built and then sold a company like this, I'd take that wad of $$$ and make sure I had time to enjoy the finer things in life. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can do just that............

Speaking of his children...His youngest son is our National Sales Manager and he has worked equally if not harder than John to make BowTech what it is today...They're both very professional, very sharp businessmen as is John's dad and all the rest of the Strasheims...

    I did.

    That is obvious.

    Not so obvious.

Even more reason for him to find this amusing.

Kevin should count his lucky stars he didn't end up in prison for theft in '05. Getting fired was going VERY easy on him.
