I need to shoot a doe for Earn A Buck. It will also help to have a full freezer for college! That means I spend less money on food and more on beer!

There is one doe that I want really bad! She is a 4 year old doe that I named Socks! She has four socks just like a horse. I would guess that she would field dress at 130 pounds or so. I have been after her for three years now and she has NEVER given me a good shot. Had her close but no shot provided. One day it will be my turn on her I hope!

Definitely going to put down a few does this year for the freezer and for my mom and dad's freezer, they're tired of all the wild pork I've been providing so time for some venison!:tu:

If it's BROWN it's DOWN !!! Gotta feed the family first. Kids don't like gnawing on antlers...

If I have a tag for it, I'm shooting it. I have 6 possible buck tags and 30+ does tags  .

I usually kill 2 or 3 does a year for meat.

I see no change for this year, but when Rut is on the does get a Free pass :)

I can shoot 5 does in zone C in Ohio ( actually 6 but have to have one tag for antlers) , so I will be filling the freezer and then donating to hunters feeding the hungry, no free passes till the last week of Oct, then its antler time.

Just 1 for me even though I can take 4 in my county and umpteen in surrounding countys. I like 1 for the freezer then its serious bone hunting for the rest of the season. Now if I kill a shooter buck early then I might take an additional Doe.

Being that I went deerless my first year of deer/bow hunting, I will indeed shoot does this year...tried last year.

We are allowed one Deer Management tag per day in the Archery only areas of Quantico...
