How are PSE bows ? I've been diligently shopping around for my first bow and after countless hours researching various makes and models (and packages) I've narrowed my choices down to two bows : The Bear Charge RTH Package and the PSE Stinger RTH Package. I have heard of Bear (who hasn't ?) but PSE is a name that I'm not very familiar with. How is PSE's reputation for quality , performance and value ? I'm keeping my budget below $550 for the whole bow package and these two models seem to be popular. Just curious of everyone's thoughts on PSE before I buy. Thanks guys.

I bought the pse stinger back in Jan and I am more than
pleased with this bow. Plenty of speed, not too heavy
and I liked the fact that I could adjust the pull length
without having to put the bow in a press. I shot some
today and have to say that my 20, 30 and 40 yard
groups are consistant and tight. I did buy the LH
model since I'm left eye dominate even though I'm
righthanded and it has really worked out. I also
got the 60 lb model instead of the 70. The bow
actually scales out at 62 lb pull which is plenty
for me. And have read that a maxed out bow
shoots tighter groups than a 70 lb bow turned
down to 60 lbs. True or not this bow is a
great bow. BP had the complete package for
399 but found a rep on eBay that had the
same package for 360, no tax and free
shipping. The only thing that I did was
add a wrist sling, small 4oz stablizer
and changed the site out for a 5 pin
lighted one. If you need anymore
    info PM me.

That's good to hear (and very helpful). I've been eye balling the PSE Stinger Package on Huntersfriend.com and I think that's the one for me. For the money I'll be getting a great deal on a great bow and all the goodies all installed and ready to shoot. Thanks for your info.

Pretty much was everyone else has said. PSE makes a good product. I always tell everyone to buy they best you can afford. If you can swing a little more get the Brute ($530 here) or the BowMadness.

    The stinger will deffinately preform:ninja:

I have shot Hoyt all my life, but only because they felt right to me. However in 2009 I went shopping around and shot numerous brand names to see how they felt and fit me. In the end I was impressed with the Pse X-Force GX and have not looked back. I have no complaints...I'm very happy. Contrary to what some people say this bow is dead quiet and dead in the hand!!!! :)
