Locked bucks, lot of bone.......pics

My next door neighbor called me over to the back of his truck today. He found these bucks locked together yesterday while mushroom hunting. They were entwined with a 2" diameter vine, but he the cut it out...I would have left it. They have been rough scored at about 173" and 165" gross.

I've never found any myself, this is the second set of locked bucks I've seen after being found. Around 10 years ago some local guys found two huge bucks near or in a creek, exhausted after fighting. One died and they were able to free the other.

Damn Greg that bites but It's kinda neat too seeing something like that 1st hand. Were these bucks close to land you hunt? If so ever saw them?

Very cool. I've always wanted to find a set of locked bucks. I did find two bucks dead 5' apart in a swamp in 2003. I figured they were locked together and were pulled apart by wolves or something with they were eaten.

 

Its a shame but that would make a cool euro mount.
