No more deer. Got about 15 minutes left. Had a deer blow 2 times to the north of me about 15 minutes ago. I keep hear movement up there all evening and sounds like there might be a oak up there dropping. Will have to check it out on next hunt.

On the walk out ran into a very nice buck. Way out past his ears and tall rack. Definitely over 120". Was only 40 yards from him and could look at him with binos in the dark. Also 3 very big bucks right on the property line.

I’m back at the cabin. I really thought I would see deer, but I didn’t. Not only did I not see deer but I didn’t see a single living animal. No birds, squirrels or anything.

It was a boring 6 hour sit.

I was disappointed that they weren’t,
15 degree temp drop from yesterday and moon overhead during daylight.

I’m up a tree for the afternoon sit in a part of this WMA I’ve never set foot in.

Hey, it’s worth a shot and my deer sightings can’t go down.

A buddy of mine and I ate tag teaming this spot this afternoon. Were a couple hundred yards east of highway 11 just outside the town of Hazen, AR.

He saw a bachelor group cross the highway right at dark yesterday heading west to a pond at an house and he wanted to hunt it with someone.

We found some browsing sign walking in and we jumped two does.

Now that I’ve been set up a while I got a little bored and started scanning the ground around me with my binoculars. The area around me has been browsed heavily. Probably just does but you never know.

These are all around me. Not sure what kind of plant it is but the deer are hammering it.

I am up for the last couple hours. Wasn’t planning on hunting today, but the wife aaid to go for it since I took our son yesterday. Sitting 70 yards off of private about 150 yards north of where @Jezzy970 saw some bucks last night. He is right on the trail they used last night. He is new to the forum. I don’t think he has figured out LFTS yet.

Skunked this weekend. Way too hot and dry. supposed to be a big shift in weather this week, lots cooler and some rain late in the week. Hopefully much better elk hunting weather next weekend.
