those are the two deer I have pictures of I’m hoping to see. The wide one is only 3.5 I’m pretty sure in a perfect world I’d love to pass him but I don’t live there so if I haven’t filled a buck tag yet he probably gets it lol there’s a couple other deer I know of in the area that could show up too

There are also a couple deer that haven’t showed up yet that I’m hope will that should be older ones. I don’t have cameras on public my standards will be all over the place there no idea what will get me excited enough to shoot lol hoping for a good year.

I also have these pictures that I love to share. I made this spot specifically for this deer that will hopefully show up by October. Nobody got him to my knowledge.

Really hoping this EHD doesn't keep running rampant here, one of the farms I hunt got hit pretty bad, every county I hunt has positive cases right now. Only one county is EHD-free so far and that's the one I'm chasing good deer at.

That’s the drought one right? Such a weird phenomenon. Hope your deer live long enough for you to kill them lol we had a run of that a few years back and the farms took years to recover

Checking in from MI! I'm Cole. We have a couple of decent bucks we are keeping an eye on, mostly just ready to get out into the woods. Usually good for a doe at least and hoping to be good for a buck as well again this year.

I live between Bloomington and Champaign. So I hunt quite a bit in McLean and DeWitt. My family ground is in Macoupin. Livingston county as well as Adams County as well.

    How about yourself?

My private spot is in whiteside county. I live in Henderson county and am surrounded by public land there. I have spots in McDonough, Mason, and Hancock counties I’d like to hit too. We will see how that goes. If I get my two bucks in Illinois I might try Missouri too.

The name's Greg, I hunt private and some public land. I'm normally good for a doe except for last season... we won't talk about last season, it's to painful lol. I do have some bucks on camera that may or may not be in trouble this year. I tend to pass up on bucks most years due to their age but after last season, I probably wont' be as picky as I have been. Gotta get that confidence back.

The buck to the left is the one I'm most interested in. I believe he'll be the most mature one that I have on this little 5 acre spot.

I am Robbie. I do some hunting in South Louisiana. I go to North Central Kansas every year during the rut. We have several good bucks on camera. Hopefully I will be able to take one of those this year. This will be the second-year hunting with a bow. I have really enjoyed hunting with a bow. Wish I would have started years ago.

    I agree with this statement.

As for the team name, I'm good with anything guys. I'm not picky at all. Heck we can call ourselves 'Team No Name" as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone in here a wing shooter? If so, you ready for Sunday?

It's the same in my area. I haven't had a great September shoot in years. It's just hard for me to break that tradition of starting off hunting season in a dove field. A few years ago , Oklahoma opened up a second dove season for the whole month of December and I'm glad they did. That's when it seems like the Dove are here. We whack em in December.
