I have been walked in twice today once this morning and once this afternoon by two different hunters. Anyway let’s hope for the best.

I will say, I'm not used to wearing my early season hunting clothes in the middle of November...it's just now starting to get chilly. Been in the 60s all day.

No deer killed today.......Saw upwards of 30 deer today. Lots of younger bucks chasing and the 2 mature buck I saw were searching for doe and not interest in calls

So from that stand I look out to white pine island in tree plot. At 5pm I see white popping out of it and one of the big buck walks across plot and to the drive way and disappears. Then 5 20 I'm getting ready to leave and look over my shoulder. There under pine branch 4 yrds away on trail is a dark figure(see second pic in my last post) too dark to see what but think fawn. About then huge gust and they swirl and bound away. No alerting. Lol. It's getting ridiculous.

Alarm set for 330. Help in the barn tomorrow morning before an all day sit. Light winds and about 35 degrees all day hope to have them on their feet.

    Crazy movement this afternoon.
Lots of buck, nothing big (or even decent).
My old buddy had a blast. Sat 45 yards from my cabin and said he quite counting at 30. Lol.
I watched 20+ walk within 30 yards of him.
He did see 1 good one but didn't get a shot.

All day sit tomorrow is cancelled. Got word he had something come up amd can't hunt the morning. Public land is completely opposite direction so not an option to hunt it AM and private PM, so I'll get in a 3 hour or so sit tomorrow. Said everything they seen today was doe with buck, so lock down is imminent. That's why I like all day sits, always one out there seeking either the next or his first.

Season is slowly falling apart, 7 days into vacation and 4 hours on stand to show for it.

    That sucks cls.
Gotta ask you (and many others), do you guys actively seek permission for private stuff or just assume it's gonna be a No.?

Reason I ask is, in 15 years, I've only had ONE person call for permission.
My name/ phone number is on the sign.
I would have gladly said yes as I was filled out but had a load of beets dropped after I was done and he could not hunt (baiting law)

I truly feel like most here could scratch out some private stuff with some time n effort.
