Been out a few times here in mass. Have not seen a deer from stand yet. It was too warm. Sat was 83 degrees. Sunday rain and a big cold front. Of course we cannot hunt sundays Would have been a 10 yard shot. First time he has daylighted this year

Things got interesting. Grunted in a buck to 25yds who was in some very thick buckthorn. Made a scrape and walked the other way to about 40. Jumped across some weeds and I only saw his left side… he looked really decent. Trying to get out with my bow as much as work will allow the next 3 days before rifle opener on Saturday. Saturday, youth gun season starts in Arkansas. I'll be out with my bow Saturday morning. I'm taking my granddaughter on Sunday. November 11 MG starts. I'm on vacation that week. Spent most of yesterday in the stand. Had to leave for a few hrs to evaluate our new department K9 team. Morning was super frost&crunchy walking in so of course one had to blow, no way around it. That afternoon was eventful to watch&listen to, 4 little bucks dogging a doe pretty hard. She finally lost them, then it was like watching the 4 stooges.... was hoping for one of the big boys to make an appearance.
