Ohio opens on Saturday. Took this week and next off to prepare and get some early sits in. Things are looking pretty good on the farm, we need some rain. My foodplots are a little stunted. I travelled up to Indiana with the wife and hung some cams and stands. This will be my 4th year hunting up there. Pretty excited to finally get a public land buck down. My brother hung some stands on PA public a month or so ago and there are a few shooter quality bucks around. I’m hoping to get a stand hung up there in the next few weeks. Looks like my first trip to WV this year will be the 12th/13th for an evening and morning sit. Really looking forward to it! Mass Bow season does not open here till Oct 16th. Getting some house stuff done now. Taking the boy down to philly to meet a couple college baseball coaches this weekend. Next weekend, long holiday weekend, we drive out to the Iowa farm to scout and hang stands. Then the following week our bow is open here at home.

Nothing from me last night. Little bucks are starting to get frisky here in central MN. Sparring on camera a few nights the past week. Think it's time to get out and create a few mock scrapes and move the cameras to my typical rut spots.
I also lied about being able to get in the stand this weekend. It's the lady's birthday and she wants to do a few things on Saturday and Sunday. Get that out of the way and I should be a free man for the foreseeable future.

This is the first decent buck I've had on camera in 3 weeks. He's getting a pass, not quite what I'm looking for. I will hunt this stand Saturday afternoon with hopes of a bigger buck showing up.
