Walked a new place today that i never set foot on before. Put in about 4 hours, maybe 8 miles. Jumped a lot of deer, but didn't confirm any were bucks. I'm still finding fresh buck sign though, mostly scrapes that are freshly hit. No sheds found. We are full on green up right now. Can't see far in the woods at all. It's crazy early, like a month early. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I was taking with my buddy, green up is wild and super early. Not gonna be able to Turkey hunt outside the fields. Weird weather anymore.
When I was hunting that last week of January, I had a Tom gobbling his head off about 200 yards to my south. Then shortly later a hen clucked twice about a hundred yards to the north. That Tom went straight to her and gobbled again. Though that was weird and very early. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Just do what every other PA hunter does, come to MD for the first 2 weeks of MD season. It starts in mid April. Can always tell when the PA season is open though, all the public is empty again haha! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Haha sounds about right, I have buddies that travel around Turkey hunting nearby states, I never joined em tho. I get after it in PA, but I’m not a big Turkey hunter.
I'm the same. I might go turkey hunting once and awhile, but don't have a big drive to do it. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Another 4 hours with nothing found. Then was walking a access path back to my truck. Not 100 yards from my truck and Bam! Right in the middle of the path. Go figure! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
We got about 2 more feet of snow last week so I'll have to do some traveling if I want to get any shed hunting done in the near future. My current season stats: Miles - 21.67 Sheds - 13
I'm itching to get back out. Might take some time off tomorrow and walk a bedding area and if I have time run to different property and just walk field edges. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Went out yesterday for a quick look on some city property with no hunting allowed. Had high hopes. No luck. I'll be back at my house in MO tonight for a couple of days and hopefully will have some time to go back behind the house looking for that stud I saw back in Oct.
Just one broken antler today. Found a couple really old deadhead also. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
