I’m all set up. I’m kind of excited to see what, if anything, moves through here.

There’s a heck of a raccoon battle raging to the south.

Just watched 8 does/fawns walk by at 70 yards.

No thanks. I’m kind of enjoying the temps in the 40’s.

I sat until 11:00 this morning which was the end of the moon-overhead period but didn’t see anymore deer.

I got down and was going to sneak over to where the does walked through to check it out.

I had made it about 30 yards when I spotted a coyote trotting about 50 yards away. I froze and waited. Pretty soon four does came blasting out from behind a thicket and ran off.
I’m sure they were bedded within 150 yards of where I was hunting. I’m glad the ‘yote bumped them instead of me.

I came in a while ago, grabbed my stand and was going to move it to what I thought was a grassy rise where the deer were moving. It isn’t a grassy “rise”. It’s a swamp.

I’m set up for the afternoon and I’m surrounded on all sides by water about 6” deep. If the deer are moving here I’ll hunt here.

I’d love to but I haven’t seen a deer yet.

That’ll do it for this sit. No deer sighted.

I’m going to head home I’m planning on coming back Wednesday.

With the current forecast, that will be gone in 48 hours. Better triple it to be safe. Have it all delivered to the mayor' and school superintendents' houses. They need a taste of real winter. End this BS of kids having indoor recess when the temps are at 36*
