Don't give up you fellas, there's a weather front coming, I'm going to try and get out after work this evening. Hopefully I can take something with 130"+ antlers. If I can take a buck, I'm pretty sure I can follow up a doe pretty quick. We close the 8th, but private land doe is open until next weekend. There is a chance.
Bumped some going in, saw three at mid field, nothing else. I think that’s all for me, supposed to rain all weekend, I’d like to get one more morning in, but I’m not sure that’ll happen.
Heading out, grabbing coffee and seeing what the morning brings. Rain looks spotty, I’ll sit as long as I can.

Well guys I came up short on the 50 points on my end as my area for doe hunting is now closed for the year. If we end up not winning with the few still going it was a fun stretch with all of you for sure!
Gonna try to down a reduction antlerless this weekend and that would leave me rest of January to maybe target a buck.....but it isn't looking good at all we take this unless Fletch comes through with a doe and another one gets lucky along my side.

I think what gets me the most is the night I shot my buck I had an opportunity to let one rip on a big doe, but I second guessed shooting her as I didn't want two blood trails criss-crossing over each other. Little had I known that my buck piled up within 60 yards I would have smoked her. Oh well... good thing I had a 2,000lb buffalo to fill the freezer lol
I’m still hunting (shocker, I know) but I can’t help the team total now. I know the contest isn’t actually finished yet, but it sure looks like we are going to finish off the podium this year. It’s been a lot of fun hunting and sharing experiences with you gentlemen the past three seasons. I’ll keep grinding until the end of February or so.
I have doe tags in my pocket and still have plans of 50 more points. I want some meat in the freezer!
