Not making it out tonight, son and I are soloing it as mommy takes a needed night by herself.

tomorrow I’m running up to bow shop to either put money down on buddy’s hand to hold the V3x 29 or 33 he has in stock. I’ll be getting it in January.

I predict we need to put down minimum three more deer. I know Brett and me are still chasing. Fletch and Zach are gonna kill does for freezer with bows here soon they claim lol…

who else has tags and chances left for us with a bow??

I’m done with deer for the year. I was surprised I could not get a doe to cooperate this year.

I do but can’t get out until the 12th. I have a buck tag I will shot the first Fergie I see if that’s what’s needed if we need something better I’ll hold out but my sightings have been sparse on any good bucks.

I'll get a doe. Have till Jan. 9 to get it done.
Muzzleloader season now, took crossbow out Monday and yesterday afternoon, both times had a doe and fawn come in and had the doe bust me at 25 yards both times. Think it was the same doe. She acts like someone wants to shoot her lol.

Gun season was typical season saw lots of does and small bucks but didn't fire my rifle. My oldest son hasn't hunted in like 15 years, he came up hunting and shot a buck. He was happy! My brother and nephew didn't hunt till end of season. Nephew shot his 1st buck and also a doe. Brother and nephew were both happy!

Muzzleloader hunting would be ok but I hate taking it all apart and cleaning it. Easier to just use the crossbow. Think I'll sell it and up grade my crossbow to a Ravin. Decided in my old age better for me and the deer to just hunt with a crossbow.

Good luck to team still hunting.

I wouldn’t shoot a “fergie” yet. We’re sure to need more than that.

With us in second place I guess any buck…even small could get us over the top
I’m headed out in a few hours
This morning I had to replace the thermostat & coolant temperature sensor in my 2015 GMC
It seems once you hit 200K miles it goes downhill

Good luck Brett. I’ve been trying to replace the radiator hose in my Ford. I replaced the Y but the connection from the radiator hose to the Y was bad. they have miss ordered it twice on me so last night I had him show me a picture of it. I believe I should get the right one Monday.

Put money down on a V3x 33 I’ll be getting in January. Kinda be nice to put a final buck down with my Elite…but time is running very short to make it happen. Gonna keep trying however.

Going to try and get out in an hour or so, mandatory family fun time is almost over.
I’ve been defaulting to field edges, and it’s not working out unless it dusk. Had 3 small bucks the other night, had a button buck walk 30yards behind me as I was standing in the open field, didn’t pay me any attention.
I think I’ll sneak into the “bench” in the woods and see if I can grab a cruising buck.

Tons of sign, old scrapes, rubs, tons of poop. Ground hunting since it’s thick and hard to tree hunt this spot.

Finally found a doe that wasn't spooky. All she thought about was getting to the brassicas and eating. IMG_1851.JPG
