Today is the first day of the Ohio gun season so the archery equipment has been set aside this morning. I’ll be taking the .450 bushmaster for a long walk today. Good luck out there today.

I’m set up for the morning sit.

I use OnX to navigate the 600 yards through the woods and it was way off this morning. I felt something wasn’t right even though it said I was heading straight for the stand.

I ended up hitting the dry creek about 80 yards west of where I should have hit it by my tree. I just walked the creek to my stand, but I’m not happy about putting my scent over there.

I'm up for my first sit in about 10 days. Guns been banging here for the last two weeks so we'll see how much things are messed up. Good luck all!

I have a black locusts spot that on good pod years get hammered this time of year. Those and staghorn sumac are over looked food source by many.

I'm in a weird place this morning. I'm sitting on the edge of a swamp with a road about 70yds from me that actually splits the swamp. It's odd to see cars going by as I'm sitting here but my eyes and my cameras see the highest numbers of deer in this spot.

20221128_073704.jpg We are still in a rain event. This morning the fog is so thick you can't see 20 yards. It's gun season and the Hunter next door came back. I honestly do not feel safe enough to even walk to a blind to sit. Guys with scoped rifles thinking it's safe to take a poke. Unfortunately I've seen too much over the years with two shooting deaths very close.

Had a great buck cruise by at about 80 yards a half hour ago. That’s the only deer I’ve seen so far.

The bucks here are definitely in seek phase right now.

Just had another doe at 40yds but she didn't come out in the open. With gun season just ending this is more action than I was anticipating
